Dropping in on the home page of PinnacleSports.com is comparable to arriving at a major international airport. This book doesn’t cater to sports wagering for just one region of the planet — it’s clearly talking to bettors from all over the world. If anything, it leans a bit toward the Commonwealth and Euro footie crowd.

But I’m easily able to zero in on North American action as well, since the left-gutter nav-bar prominently features all the familiar suspects. Going straight to the NFL playoff chalk, I’m very pleasantly surprised by Pinnacle’s generous juice terms. These guys charge a standard nickel or less for sides and totals, and it turns out that’s their take in the other major American sports as well. Very nice.

The site’s interface is user-friendly and incorporates some unusual aids, like drop-down menus on the home page for switching the site’s language and odds displays. Their user login fields are neatly removed from the page’s promotional areas. It’s an all-around comfortable first impression.

OK, now I’m actively looking for anything that’s fundamentally *wrong* with this place, but my search isn’t yielding much! Pinnacle has a promotions page, yet it doesn’t offer any promotions. That’s fine, because with their exceptional commission rates, they don’t have to bother with things like fluffy deposit bonuses. They also claim to have the highest action ceilings in the business, but after poking around a bit for hard numbers I came up short on specific info regarding their betting limits.

The only truly legitimate beef I might hang my hat on here would be the impersonal reality of no phone support. If that’s the price to pay for their commission structure, then so be it. And, unless I’m just not seeing it, there’s no live chat, either. But this book’s been around for over a dozen years, and they’re based in regulation-heavy Curacao, so I shouldn’t expect any serious integrity issues here with my money.

All in all, Pinnacle is a very solid online sportsbook. I rate it a 4.5 on a scale of 1-5.
