My first impression after landing on the home page of the sportsbook at Legends.com left nothing to subtlety. “20% Cash Bonus with your $200 deposit!” OK, message received. This place really wants me to believe they’re a good value right out of the gate. Well, let’s put Legends.com to the test.

These guys offer their live lines in a handy scrolling window that starts just below the fold on the home page. This tool enables a visitor to instantly browse through any of the sports for which this book offers action, so even if you’re not registered, you know exactly what you’re facing juice-wise.

The rest of the home page is easy enough to navigate, and does include toll-free 800 numbers above the fold — immediately alerting US and Canadian visitors that Legends.com is here for their action. There’s even a live chat button! Be wary of their limited live hours for phone service — for payouts, they roll up the sidewalk at 6pm Eastern time, 7 days a week. Yikes.

Since this book’s first impression is all about a deposit bonus, I decided to check out their Bonuses & Promotions page to see what other value-goodies their offering. Sure enough, they feature an interesting array of uncommon freebies and discounts, although the several deposit bonus options are a bit confusing (which is it? 20%, or 30%?).

Unfortunately, Legends.com doesn’t impress me with their low action limits on sides ($1000 for NFL, NBA, NCAA and MLB) or their pedestrian parlay options (and pedestrian parlay odds).

The non-member areas of the site itself are adequate enough, but there are a few dead end internal links, and the actual operation itself (based out of Panama) doesn’t strike me as being a comprehensive experience for the adventurous sports bettor.

It looks like a basic, solid place, but I’ve been to greener pastures than Legends.com. I rate it a 3.7 on a scale of 1-5.
